I just read a post that really tugged on my heartstrings. This post made me realize that we never really know what’s going on with someone behind their smile. It makes me realize that maybe we should each take a moment longer to peer into someone’s eyes and connect with what they are saying, to be still a second more to hear the meaning of the words they are sharing, and open yourself up to feeling the message being conveyed.
It’s very easy for each of us to get caught up in our own lives and think we’ll get to this or that person when we have the time…but that time never surfaces unless we make the conscious decision to make it happen.
This person who posted tonight was brave and shared their story but not everyone will be so open. We should all remember we are human beings who need and want to be nurtured and taking the time out of your day to reach out to someone else is the most precious gift you can give someone.
